It offers exceptional tensile strength, flexibility, transparency, and wide span capability. Compared to other mesh products, stainless steel cable mesh provides unmatched advantages in practicality, security, aesthetics, and durability.
A: Yes. Aluminum alloy 6061‑T6 has a tensile strength comparable to mild steel (approx. 310 MPa). With rope diameters 1.6‑2.4mm and proper tension, it meets typical building code requirements for fall protection. For high‑impact areas, we recommend 3.2mm rope.
A: No. Aluminum naturally forms a protective oxide layer that prevents corrosion. It will not rust like carbon steel. For coastal environments, it performs very well, though for direct seawater immersion, stainless steel is recommended.
A: Standard mill finish (silver). We also offer anodized finish (clear, bronze, gold) and powder coating (any RAL color). Anodizing increases surface hardness and corrosion resistance.
A: Occasional cleaning with mild soap and water is sufficient. Avoid abrasive cleaners or steel wool which can scratch the oxide layer. For coastal areas, rinse with fresh water periodically to remove salt deposits.
A: Yes. For gentle curves, standard ferrule mesh can be bent. For tighter radii, we recommend 7*19 rope construction (more flexible) or knotted type. Custom bending services are available.
A: Ferrule type uses pressed aluminum sleeves at each intersection, creating precise, uniform diamond openings - preferred for architectural aesthetics. Knotted type has no ferrules, offering more flexibility but less precision. For railings and facades, ferrule type is recommended.
A: With proper installation and no mechanical damage, aluminum alloy mesh typically lasts 30+ years outdoors, even in coastal environments. No repainting is required.
